There are too many good video games coming out, and my wallet is going to hurt

With all the pre-ordering that my card is going to be suffering in the coming months, I feel like I should buy an "I'm sorry" card and place it directly into my wallet.  Not to mention my social life outside of video games. So long, all three friends I have outside the digital world. So long, whatever hours I considered sleeping in.

Come to think about it, this may be one of those situations where spending money might actually result in me saving money.  Oh, what's that? You want me to come out with you and be in public and be around people I don't feel like being around and spending $5,000 on a poorly made house vodka and Red Bull? GET LOST, NERDS!!

I've been trying to find some games to invest in which will occupy my time while I'm inevitably banned from communications because some turd reported me for WHOOPIN' DAT ASS in Rocket League. I broke it down to my top 3, with an honorable mention...because that's how awards are given out nowadays.

Let's get like one of those hip hop artists right before the bridge and break it down:

Destiny 2 (Sept. 8):  I kind of got out of the Destiny scene a couple months ago, and deeply regret it.  This was one of the more addictive games that I played until I bought Final Fantasy XV and lost all contact with the outside world.  The thought of conquering a planet after spending about 2 hours annoying my teammates with revival requests and then dancing my face off as a reward before moving on to the next planet makes me so excited I can't stand up right now. All reviews point to this being one the best games of the year, and I've already planned my November around this coming out, along with the release of the following...

Call of Duty WWII (Nov. 3): If this game is anything like Call of Duty: World at War, I'm absolutely never seeing the light of day except when I have to drag my ass out of the apartment to work.  Nothing saying "I'm owning you right now" like calling in the blood thirsty German Shepherds after getting 7 kills in a row, which inevitably results in about 5-10 extra kills. Hopefully the zombies is comparable to the original, which made multiplayer with friends more fun too. Nothing like yelling at your friend over Xbox because he was dicking around and let a fucking zombie go right by him to kill you while he was "practicing sweet jumps" off a ledge he found on the map...Jesse. The biggest thing that's getting me worked up about this is that they finally brought a COD game out that doesn't feature rocket packs and wall climbing. Back to the good old fashioned run for your life situations, and in most cases camping out to really assert yourself as a man in times of war to build those kill streaks.  Xbox Live COD players, I'm coming for you.

South Park- The Fractured But Whole (Oct. 17): If this game is anything like The Stick of Truth, it will be well worth the money I should have spent on my electric bill. The gameplay of Stick of Truth really felt like you were watching a South Park episode unravel right before your eyes, and the laughs I got from listening to all the characters made it well worth my time and neglect of family and friends. Sorry everyone, but if we're at work and you ask me to grab drinks with you after, you're getting a "Screw you guys, I'm going home."

Honorable Mention!!!
Marvel vs. Capcom (Sept. 19): I really don't think much needs to be said about this. Who doesn't get excited at the thought of delivering a jaw crushing Hadouken to Tony Stark's face? What about hitting Doctor Strange with a Mega Buster to send his wizarding ass into another dimension? The possibilities are endless!! This may be one of those games which is worth checking out on Redbox first, but I'm still super excited about playing it.

I'm sure there are games coming out for Xbox One which may pop out more to others, but for the sake of my wallet, I'm limiting myself to these four. Until next time... stay thirsty my friends.
