I'm Upset, I've Started Drinking, and I am currently questioning my Bulls fandom.

Ok, Jimmy.  Here's the plan. I am going to get fired, Coach the
Twolves, and then rob those GarPax fuckers blind in a trade for you.

Ok, so it happened. Jimmy Butler finally got traded. This should be good right?? All Bulls fans have heard for the last couple of years is that we were getting a couple of those sweet sweet Brooklyn picks from the Celtics plus players. It was going to be a king's ransom! We were gonna start the rebuild and start it the right way! Holy shit we were all wrong...

The Bulls ended up getting  a guy who had a garbage rookie season, an athletic freak who had loads of promise but happened to tear his ACL last season and a pick swap.

You read that right. The Bulls didn't even get to keep their pick at 16. THEY HAD TO THROW THAT IN TOO! WE COULDN'T EVEN MAKE THEM THROW IN THE 7TH PICK BY ITSELF! JIMMY IS THE BEST 2-WAY SHOOTING GUARD IN THE LEAGUE!

*Steps away from the keyboard, grabs another beer, and takes a couple deep breaths*

Ok, I have calmed down, and I haven't punched anything yet...

I don't even know why I am surprised. Since Michael Jordan retired I can literally only remember 3 instances where the Bulls didn't fuck up their draft.

1. Drafting Derrick Rose. Don't @ me, don't you fucking @ me. The kid won and MVP and was going to be the lynch pin of the only team that could derail Lebron's Miami Heat teams until he blew his knee out. Of course, it was dumb fucking luck that the Bulls even won this lottery with something like a 2% chance. If I remember correctly, they even seriously considered Michael Beasley at #1. In retrospect I'm surprised they actually picked Rose.

2. Drafting Jimmy. This one still hurts, but I'm counting this as getting lucky as well. Jimmy was drafted at the end of the 1st round and was an after thou ght at the time. We were just lucky he had a chip on his shoulder and worked his tail off to get where he is today. Thibs is also hugely responsible for his development. I'm done talking about this...

3. Drafting Jo Noah. I'm calling this one dumb luck too. Everyone hated this pick at the time. Well except for me, but I am a Florida Gators fan. Another guy who was a perfect match for Thibs and worked his ass off.

Usually The Bulls are doing things like trading 2 first rounders to pick Doug Freaking McDermott or trading the rights to LaMarcus Aldridge for Tyrus Thomas. To put the icing on the cake, we were able to turn McDermott and Taj Gibson (one of our few other decent picks) in to Cam Payne. Cam Payne was a DNP-Coach's decision for most of the end of the season.

I'm pretty sure the only difference in being a Knicks fan or Bulls fan these days is that Bulls fans still adore Phil Jackson. Otherwise, we are both rooting for directionless teams who can't seem to make a good decision and just praying we will refresh twitter to have Woj tell us that our entire front office has been fired. I hear David Griffin is available!

Whatever, I'm going to drink until I forget who Lauri Markkanen is...
