Neutral Site for the World Series

I saw the talking heads on ESPN chatting about this practically all day yesterday and I just wanted to get a quick post in to tell you why it's a ridiculously stupid idea. First off, don't baseball teams, at least somewhat, build their roster around stadiums? If you play at a park with a short field, for instance Fenway, you get guys who can hit home runs. If you happen to play at a pitcher's park, well you tailor your roster to that. If baseball were to actually do this, and they probably won't, it would be just their luck that next season it'd be Cubs and Yankees in the Series, only they'd be playing 7 games in Houston. How does that make any sense? A far better solution is to simply eliminate some of the travel days, or perhaps you could even knock a few games off the schedule so that the playoffs wouldn't be ending in November next year. Of course, the latter will never happen as owners wouldn't think of giving up a couple of their 162 paychecks. Just a quick rant there, I'm done now. One final note, congratulations to the city of Philadelphia on finally winning a championship in a major sport. Also congratulations to whoever hit this dude in the head with that vodka bottle, that was a hell of a throw. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfEq8K5GtlM
